Former CEO of Ketchum Makes it into PRWeek Hall of Fame

David Drobis became part of the Ketchum journey back in 1967, starting as an account executive. PRWeek started their Hall of Fame in 2013, and they brought Drobis and four others into the 4th class of inductees earlier this month. The criteria include those demonstrating dedication and expertise in the communications industry through their entire careers and who even after their careers have ended the industry views as leaders.

Drobis said on his acceptance: “We did it with friendship and a collaborative approach that made it more interesting and a stronger industry as a result.”

Peppercomm and Money Management Institute Working Together to Build Brand Awareness

Peppercomm and Money Management Institute are partnering with a common goal to enhance Money Management Institute’s (MMI) equity and brand awareness in the growing investment advisory solutions sector. Peppercomm will bring their understanding of analysis insights, thought leadership, and strategy to enhance MMI’s position with their target audiences and through various channels.

Burson-Marsteller Promotes Kevin Bell as Worldwide President

Kevin Bell has been with BM for two years in their London office working as their global public affairs leader. Now he’ll be their worldwide president reporting to Don Baer directly. Bear is the agency’s worldwide chair and CEO. Bell will work with every region and group within the company to build growth opportunities. Before working for BM, Bell consulted with such companies as BG, P&G, Aviva, and Tata Consultancy Services. He was also an advisor for many of the senior politicians in the U.K.’s Conservative Party, and for government leaders in Europe, Asia, and North Africa. He worked at Maitland Political as their executive chairman and as FleishmanHillard’s regional president for the U.K., Africa, and the Middle East.

Myriad Marketing Acquired by MMGY Global

Los Angeles travel and lifestyle firm Myriad Marketing has been acquired by MMGY Global, a travel, entertainment, and hospitality marketing agency. Myriad has another office in New York and brings about 50 employees to the merger. The entity will remain separate and becomes Myriad Marketing, an MMGY Global company. Additionally, Myriad brings Spring O’Brien, which they acquired last year, to the deal.

Integration will begin with the Kansas City-based MMGY during 2017. All of the New York employees with Myriad and Spring O’Brien should be relocating to the new MMGY Grand Central office within the first couple of months of 2017.

North 6th Agency Announces Promotions and More

For the first half of December, North 6th Agency (N6A) announced the winners of awards from their Compete and Care program including Jacky Agudelo as winner of the Bucket List annual competition for highest production during the second half of the year. Agudelo won an all-expense paid trip to one of several exciting event destinations – Agudelo’s choice.

Florence Lousqui won the Chairman’s Pick for the 4th quarter 2016. The price is a free gym membership for 2017. Team win of the month when to the N6A/Sonobi account team while the N6A Velox Group won the Golden Group trophy and Producer of the Week honors went to Florence Lousqui, Josh Kail, and Shateera Israel for the first week, and the second week to Lindsey Platts.

8 IABC Silver Leaf Awards go to NATIONAL PR in Canada

Working with seven of their clients, NATIONAL Public Relations received more awards at the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Silver Leaf than any other for the year, taking home eight awards for excellence and outstanding work in communications. Those eight awards were handed out for their work in various sectors and from at least four of their offices in Canada, including Calgary, Halifax, Montreal, and Toronto. National also recently purchased Shift Communications.

Peppercomm Brings in Two More Clients

In addition to MMI reported above, Peppercomm has also added Blucora and the Avon 39 initiative to their client roster. Blucora offers tax-advantaged investing products and other services using TaxAct, their digital tax return, and other tax form prep online tool. They also have HD Vest, a tool for tax professionals. Peppercomm will be helping both of those brand using speaking opportunities, social media, and earned media.

Avon 39 is a group of cause-based events sponsored by Avon for the fight against breast cancer. These 39-mile walks happen around the country, requiring those walking to get sponsors to contribute for their walk and the proceeds go to support breast cancer research. Peppercomm will help with digital, social marketing, digital display and video, content marketing, brand strategy, and creative efforts for TV, print, radio, and more.

Ruder Finn Adds Daylight Partnership to their Ranks

Daylight Partnership is a digital marketing and analytics consultancy specializing in content, engagement, and data-driven information. Their team offers a combination of influencer mapping, social listening tools, predictive analytics, innovative social, and VR-branded content. This addition amplifies Ruder Finn’s abilities in analytics and digital offerings, making it possible to more effectively use big data and information to reach targeted consumers.
