How did Rogers & Cowan start?

Henry C. Rogers and Warren Cowan started the firm in Los Angeles in 1950, when actors were promoted mostly by the film studios they were under contract to, as Wikipedia notes. They promoted performers independently of the studio system, and the firm later added film and television publicity, music promotion, fashion campaigns and branded entertainment.

What happened in the 2019 merger?

In July 2019, IPG merged Rogers & Cowan with sister firm PMK*BNC. Adweek reported the combined agency would serve more than 500 actors, musicians, producers and athletes and over 30 global brands, with Cindi Berger as chairman, Mark Owens as CEO and Alan Nierob as chairman of the entertainment division.
