Barry will discuss his views on the Zimmerman defense, the prosecution’s position, the emotional tenor stemming from the death of the young Treyvon Martin and how it may have played into the presentation during the trial.
Both, the Goetz and Zimmerman cases, carried the specter of racism, profiling and lifetimes of social conditioning that had been alleged to have played roles in the defendants’ actions.
Finally. the controversial Stand Your Ground Law, Florida’s position, the New York view and whether the law had an impact on the mindset of Zimmerman when he encountered Martin.
