calysto logoMorega Systems, a software and systems company that provides media mobility solutions, has retained Calysto Communications as its PR agency of record. Calysto will manage a wide range of public relations and social media activities for Morega, including drafting messaging and other materials such as press releases; supporting Morega’s analyst and media relations programs; and delivering strategic guidance on its approach to social media.

Calysto already has a broad experience in managing PR campaigns for various customers in the communications industry. The company specializes in three specific industries within the technology arena: broadcasting & cable, mobile and telecom. The company’s current roster of customers includes industry leaders such as Hitachi, Fujitsu, Nokia Siemens Networks, and more. Morega will be in good company, and they are already confident in their new AOR:

“We were impressed by Calysto’s success in raising visibility for one of its clients in the video optimization and content delivery space – particularly since Calysto took the company from a virtually unknown player to a well-recognized name in less than 12 months,” said Philip Poulidis, president and CEO of Morega Systems. “When we met with the Calysto team, we recognized that they had the relationships, the industry insight and the PR and social media knowledge to quickly raise our visibility as well.”

Morega’s unique approach to content delivery uses a sophisticated authentication, encryption and digital rights management system to protect copyrighted material and to allow users to view optimized, high-quality video either across a broadband network connection via adaptive bit rate streaming, or without a network connection via sideloading. Morega’s unique analytics system also tracks when specific content is viewed on alternative devices, thus enabling TV Everywhere and the Connected Home while still preserving advertising revenue for content providers.
