Alyssa Schimel Stays With Jimmy Kimmel Live Through New Job at Kovert Creative

Kovert Creative was established a year ago by Joseph Assad and Lewis Kay in a joint effort with WME-IMG. Alyssa Schimel, who has been working as the publicist for Jimmy Kimmel Live, recently hitched her star to the new PR agency but will continue to represent the show along with additional clients such as Fatherly.com, OBB Pictures, Ringer.com, WeVillage, and author Brad Meltzer.

Schimel worked with Kay and Assad previously at PMK*BNC. She also worked at NBC Universal in the past.

Two Senior Promotions at Havas PR Manchester Office

Both Paul Hadfield and Claire Quansah are to be congratulated for the promotions they’ve received at Havas PR. Hadfield has been named creative director for the firm and will work with clients such as Pets at Home, DFS, and Asda. He’s been with the firm for three years. Quansah was promoted to operations director after being at the firm for over three years. She will oversee day-to-day procedures and activities of the agency and focus on developing the talent at the firm’s London Village branch.

Havas didn’t stop with those two promotions, though. They have also added four new account executives including Emma Pearson as a senior account executive, with previous experience at Label PR, Avant PR, and Branded Lab PR. Rachel Toner, formerly a top performer at Liverpool’s Trevaskis Communications, joins her in the pool of new hires.

2017 Board of Directors Members and Leadership Announced by PRSA-NY

PRSA-NY is looking forward to 2017 with their 2017 membership, board members, chairs, and committees. Their slogan for the year is “Be a Bridge, Write the Story.”

The Chapter plans to continue the awards program they started in 2016, 15 Under 35 Awards, and recognize the most inspired/inspiring young talent in the NY metro area in the industry. There’s also been a fuller database established including a new management system allowing for easier communication digitally with the membership.

Chain Reactions Nigeria Now Country’s Exclusive Affiliate for Edelman

A deal is now in place between the two firms for one year. Edelman already has an office in Johannesburg, South Africa, but this will give them a second location on that continent. Chain Reactions Nigeria (CRN) brings integrated communications and full-service PR efforts to their clients, including corporate communications, media relations, public affairs, issues and crisis communications, CSR and sustainability, event management, thought leadership and scorecard leveraging, litigation PR, digital PR, and consumer/brand PR.
