Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (“Roswell Park”), located in Buffalo, New York, was founded in 1898 by Dr. Roswell Park, one of the nation’s preeminent surgeons. Roswell Park provides a comprehensive array of inpatient and outpatient cancer treatment services, as well as a wide variety of cancer research, education, and prevention activities, on a local, national, and international scale. From its inception, Roswell Park’s mission – to understand, prevent and cure cancer – has remained consistent with the vision of its founder.

Roswell Park was among the first to be designated a “Comprehensive Cancer Center” by the National Cancer Institute in 1974, and has held that designation ever since. Roswell Park is also a charter member of the prestigious National Comprehensive Cancer Network (“NCCN”), an alliance of the nation’s leading cancer centers. Many Roswell Park faculty members serve on the NCCN panels that create the Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology – the internationally recognized standards for clinical policy in oncology and the most comprehensive, most frequently updated clinical practice guidelines available in any area of medicine.

Scope of Work:

DIGITAL CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION “CME” PHYSICIAN PROGRAM:

While much is changing at Roswell Park and it’s care of patients, two things remain constant: our commitment to excellence in cancer care and our dedication to our partnerships with physicians who entrust their patients to our care. We are dedicated to establishing partnerships with the community physicians, by offering second opinions, consultations, assistance and   treatment options. We are looking for a partner who can help us position our groundbreaking   work through physician education programs, while providing an outlet and an audience for the distribution of this knowledge.

We are also looking for an outlet that can increase our presence on a multiple networks, thus exposing our cancer center to a wide range of listeners/viewers.

ENGAGING OUR EXPERTS:

One of our greatest assets at Roswell Park is our people. We have at Roswell Park some of the world’s foremost cancer physicians and researchers, supported by specially trained support teams that deal solely with cancer day in and day out. They have incredible stories to tell and groundbreaking work to highlight. Our digital CME media strategy needs to highlight these experts, and we need to find a way to engage them more directly in this outreach effort.

NEW OPPORTUNITIES AND TRENDS:

Because physician education is an ever-changing, dynamic field, Roswell Park’s marketing team needs support in staying abreast of the latest trends, particularly within educational technology, and the professional physician networks that may provide value to our various physician campaigns.

CURRENT STRATEGY:

With the support of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Western New York, Roswell Park has been able to produce eight (8) 15-minute digital CME programs targeting primary care physicians annually. The recognition of this educational sponsorship would need to be included in these video programs.
