The City of Altamonte Springs, Florida (the “City”) is seeking proposals from an experienced and well-qualified professional public relations firm to provide community/public relations and advertising services to support and promote the City’s efforts, programs, events and special projects on an as needed when needed basis throughout the term of the contract.


Altamonte Springs is a city born of innovation, fiscal responsibility and progressive ideas. The City has worked hard over the years to remain debt free while maintaining one of the lowest tax rates in Florida. Scope of Work:


The Successful Firm is required to provide professional marketing and public relations for the City’s programs, projects and initiatives, and will perform certain duties and provide certain services approved by the City’s Project Manager or his/her designate before such duties and services commences, including, but not limited to, the following:

                A. To develop and execute a citywide media relations program.

                B. To work with city communication staff to develop and execute a centennial celebration marketing campaign.

                C. Raise the city’s profile on the national landscape to attract and expand the level of new residential and commercial interests by strategically positioning the community as innovative and economically sound.

                D. Press release design and distribution of current and new developments to appropriate media outlets on a national and regional level.

                E. Monthly status reports on the progression of current and new developments.

                F. Media interviews – including television, print and electronic.

                G. Public relations consulting.

                H. Assist with media at special events, concerts and entertainment related performances.
