Social@Ogilvy Adds Octane – WWE’s Tom Boland

OgilvyOgilvy & Mather’s recently launched Social@Ogilvy is a cross-discipline initiative designed to leverage the firm’s social media experts for client problem solving. The social platform welcomed  a new Senior VP, Tom Boland about according to news from the firm.

Boland, a 14 years veteran of the digital space, offers key experience in digital advertising, and consulting across a span of online disciplines. Prior to Ogilvy, Boland worked as a Director of Partnership Marketing at World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). In that position Boland designed and carried out social media campaigns for companies such as; 7-Eleven, Ford, Mattel, Kmart, Slim Jim and others. Borland was a big part of WWE’s award-wining social media footprint, according to the story from Ogilvy & Mather.

Gemma Craven, Executive Vice President and Social@Ogilvy NY Group Head added this about Borlan joining the team.

Social@Ogilvy is refuted to be the largest social media marketing communications network in the world.  The network was named the 2011 Global Digital/Social Consultancy of the Year by The Holmes Report.
