DKC brings in new VP of Innovation

Mike Moschella is now with DKC PR and will be serving as Vice President of Innovation, where he’ll use his understanding and experience with nonprofits, government, and tech sectors. Moschella’s skills will bring further depth to their talent in digital media, data analytics, and strategic campaigns created by the firm.

Moschella’s accomplishments include co-founding www.Organizing.Center and New Leaders Council – both provide practical training and organizing tools for nonprofits and campaigns. Campaigns & Elections Magazine recently included him in their top 50 list of campaign influencers in the U.S. He worked previously as the VP of Organizing at NationBuilding with consumer brands, nonprofits, political parties, and governments globally. Throughout his career, he’s trained organizers and leaders on how to run effective campaigns, and he’s advised candidates regarding national security and foreign policy.

Prime PR to join PMK*BNC in new Entertainment Strategy division

Prime, which has been run by industry publicists Michael Donkis and Joy Fehily since 2009, are joining forces with PMK*BNC along with the Prime staff members including Maria Herrera, Cassandra Vargas, Rachael Reiss, Rebecca Taylor, Caitlin Scott, and other members of their administrative team.

Fehily worked previously at PMK for nine years before she co-founded Prime. Donkis previously worked at Endeavor, a talent agency that later merged with WME. Both will hold the title of executive VPs in their new jobs and will head up a new entertainment strategy and development department. The new department falls under the entertainment division and leaders report to co-chairman and CEO, Cindi Berger. The division focuses on talent, television, special events, film, music, and lifestyle.

Prime built up an impressive list of clients including Robert Downey, Jr., Olivia Wilde, Dave Navarro, Christopher McQuarrie (Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation), and producers Joel Silver, Graham King, and Howard Gordon.

Richard Attias & Associates hires new Chief Marketing & Communications Director, Marie de Foucaud

Marie de Foucaud will be reporting to Richard Attias, CEO in her new position as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer of the New York-based PR firm, Richard Attias & Associates.

Ms. de Foucaud previously worked at Boucheron International, the high-end French jewelry subsidiary of Kering (formerly, the PPR Group), as their Worldwide Communications Director and member of the Executive Committee. In her new role at Attias, she’ll take charge of the PR strategies, as well as development of digital platforms, editorial content, and RA&A’s network animation. Marie plans on strengthening position for international clients with strategic communication and consulting, and developing RA&A’s brand awareness.

In speaking of the new appointment, Richard Attias said, “I am pleased to welcome Marie de Foucaud, who will bring to our company her expertise regarding 360 international communications. Her experience in agencies along with her extensive knowledge of the luxury industry’s standards of excellence will greatly strengthen the influence of our clients and of our brand in the world.”

Ms. de Foucaud is a French national, mother of four, and enjoys participating in triathlons and other sports. She started her career working for the NY-based PR firm, Nike Communications, specializing in luxury. She worked at Publicis Etoile Dialog in Paris, building an external communications department and then started at Boucheron in 2005 as the manager of the Press Office before 2009 when she was appointed PR Director. Late in 2011, she became Boucheron’s Worldwide Communications Director.

Podesta building their ranks

Former Sr. VP at Social@Ogilvy, Hastie Afkhami, recently became a Sr. VP and director of digital for Podesta Group PR, the DC-based public affairs firm. But he’s not the only new exec coming on board there. They’ve also moved David Mann up to the new Managing Principal of their PR unit. Mann previously helped the agency triple their revenue over five years working with analytics and overseeing campaigns for clients such as CrossFit and We Are Golf.

Before starting with Podesta, Afkhami began his career with the Human Capital Consulting firm of Booz Allen Hamilton and Emerson and then moved in 2011 to Ogilvy.
