Website Re-Development, Graphic Design RFP

The Chester County Department of Community Development is seeking website redevelopment, logo design, copywriting, and technical assistance for the Chester County Partnership to End Homelessness, in a three phase approach. The Partnership requests one submission with three proposals and accompanying quotes for each of the phases outlined below. Please submit a separate quote for copywriting website content.

Phase 1 First stage of website redevelopment will consist of a website audit/review, design proposal compatible with SquareSpace web platform, website page structure, comprehensive style guide (fonts, colors, images, etc.). DCD is seeking the creation of a new logo / visual identity that captures the values and mission of the Partnership and is distinctive and memorable. This logo will be incorporated into a revamped website, social media accounts, and other possible future web presence that DCD may have. It will also be used on letterhead, business cards, brochures, banners, and other print materials as needed. It is expected that the development of the new logo will evolve as part of a conversation with DCD staff and steering committee members. A ‘creative strategy’ or brand document will be produced capturing how the existing mission, values and priorities the Partnership are reflected in the proposed logo. Future graphic design cohesive with developed visusal identity and logo design for virtural and print collateral. For example, community reports, advertisement flyers, social media templates, and all other communication materials.

Phase 2 Second stage of website redevelopment will consist of implementation of proposed website layout (secondary pages, dashboards, updating content). Development of ad template, e-newsletter, and social media templates cohesive with logo and visual identity. Perform a search engine optimization audit.

Phase 3 The third stage of website development shall include search engine optimization and the creation of additional features such as: a live dashboard, private partner portal, and any other website additions determined by DCD.

Background:

The Chester County Partnership to End Homeless is a countywide, strategic initiative to prevent and end homelessness in Chester County. Through this unique collaboration, Chester County endeavors to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring. The Partnership aims to shift from a system that manages homelessness to one that diverts, prevents and rapidly re-houses individuals and families while recognizing that housing is a primary human need and a right for everyone. The Partnership resides administratively within the Chester County Department of Community Development (DCD).

Scope of Work:

We are relying on the Vendor to propose a design process for our consideration. We request an explanation of Vendor’s design process and methodology and how it relates to this project.

5.1 Design Scope and Cost Submission Structure: 

The design scope for this project is broken into three phases; each of which is to be bid separately within the Vendor’s submission. DCD will negotiate the contract terms to secure services for all or some of the project phases presented below. Design scope to include:
