Eastern Kentucky University seeks a vendor to provide a comprehensive website design and content management package that meets modern web standards. Many agencies are dabbling in digital these days include Finn Partners and Ruder Finn.

Background:

Eastern Kentucky University is a comprehensive university serving approximately 16,000 students at the main Richmond, Kentucky campus, educational centers in Corbin, Danville, Lancaster and Manchester, and other sites in Kentucky. Michael T. Benson serves as the 13th President of the University. President Benson strongly believes the essential ingredients to the current and future success of our University is focusing on the 3Ps: People, Places, and Programs. Scope of Work:

General:

The proposed solutions should be able to provide a turnkey website design and content management system that meets the service requirements listed below. Solutions should meet or exceed WCAG 2.0 accessibility requirements. Proposals should include references, description of the project team, including experience level of team members, project timeline, and description and pricing of support beyond project completion.

Service Requirements:

Authentication:

a) Single sign-on authentication – CAS (preferred), SAML, Shibboleth

b) Access levels

c) (Optional) Page-level user permissions

Content:

a) Accessible WCAG 2.0 compliant

b) User-friendly WYSIWYG editing

c) Modern content management system

d) Page-level version control

e) Calendar – either integrated with platform or integration with third party

f) Webforms

g) Media management, including images, audio, and video

h) Required content types supported

Content Management System:

a) Multisite environment with independent user management

b) Password protected files and pages

Design:

a) Complete website design service

b) Customizable/Flexible

c) Responsive

d) Pages must be supported in all major browsers, including: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari

Support:

a) Website migration support from Drupal 6

b) End User Support & Training resources

c) Administrator support & training resources
