Long Island Commission for Aquifer Protection Seeks Media Agency

The Long Island Commission for Aquifer Protection (LICAP) is issuing a Request for Proposals for a comprehensive media campaign to encourage drinking water conservation on Long Island and to educate Long Islanders about their vital groundwater supply.

Background:

The Long Island Commission for Aquifer Protection (LICAP) is a bi-county entity formed to address both quality and quantity issues facing Long Island’s aquifer system, and to advocate for a coordinated, regional approach to groundwater resources management.

Scope of Work:

LICAP is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified firms to provide a wide variety of media services to encourage drinking water conservation on Long Island and to educate Long Islanders about their vital groundwater supply. Bidders are asked to submit separate bids for each of the following services, with the understanding that LICAP may choose to accept all or any portion of the bids:

  1. Design and place high-quality print advertisements, based primarily but not exclusively on ideas provided by LICAP, to help the public understand the importance of drinking water conservation on Long Island. The goal should be to significantly increase public awareness of the need for drinking water conservation. Bids should include specifics as to where ads would be placed, size of the ad, and duration of ad run.
  2. Design a high-quality brochure, based primarily but not exclusively on ideas provided by LICAP, to help educate the public about the importance of drinking water conservation on Long Island.
  3. Design a high-quality logo/slogan, based primarily but not exclusively on ideas provided by LICAP, to be used on all advertisements, brochures and other media as a centerpiece of the overall ongoing water conservation effort.
  4. Design and place high-quality social media advertisements. Bids should include specifics as to target audiences, social media outlets to be used and number of times ads will be seen by target audiences.
  5. Design and create high-quality social media pages for LICAP.
