Shifflet & Associates to help increase their strategic planning and consumer insights.
MMGY Global – Leadership
Don Montague created the Vail Summit in 1997 as a place where the top minds in the travel industry and marketing could gather and develop ideas. It’s been around for 19 years and has attracted brand leaders from all around the globe.
Clayton Reid, President and CEO, has been in the travel and tourism PR and marketing business for over 20 years and is considered one of the best. He’s served as a board member for such organizations as the New York Hospitality Council and the Kansas City Convention and Visitors Association. American Expess® has awarded him the Steven Harvey Achievement in Marketing twice and he serves as a strategic council member on issues related to the travel industry for Gerson Lehrman Group. Reid is an often-sought-after speaker for events.
MMGY Clients and Accolades
Some of their clients include Cheap Caribbean, Lufthansa USA, American Express, Enterprise, the Trump Hotel Collection, and The Beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel. The firm is a member of the Travel Consul International Travel Marketing Alliance, as well as an affiliate member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
Their 2016 Portrait of American Travelers® created by their company, identifies the habits and preferences of travelers and insights and serves as their marketing strategy foundation.
It only takes a few minutes on their Facebook page to see one the biggest perks of working for this company, travel. From the mountains of Nepal to the beaches of Jamaica, or the bars in Cleveland to the endless adventures found in Orlando, depending on the accounts a specialist works on, there are usually some opportunities to see the world. Maybe even one day the specialists will get to go to Mars, as the agency represents Mars Tourism as well.
In the announcement about becoming AOR for Mars Tourism, Clayton Reid said, “We were simply over the moon when we added the Red Planet to our interstellar client roster. Millennial travelers will especially be on board with the new campaign – they tend to value experiences over things, and we’ve got the research to back it up.”
Getting a Job At MGMY Global Agency
Some consistent comments made by current and former employees on Glassdoor include fun perks, travel, old fashioned values (from another perspective – need to create a more current culture), lots of opportunities to work with many clients who are the best in what they do – and another one, pay and benefits are lower than what commenters feel would be an industry standard. Other comments mentioned the firm has lots of current digital tools and information, but other tools and equipment could use upgrades or updates.
MMGY Global is a firm to consider in Florida.
