Edelman Spain, part of Edelman – the world´s largest public relations firm, was awarded as the Best International Agency by PR Noticias, during a ceremony held on November 21st in Madrid at Refinery building.
Started in 1952 by Dan J. Edelman in a small office in Chicago and now operated by Richard Edelman – the company that redefined the role of public relations, is today the world´s largest public relations firm with 67 offices and more than 4,800 employees worldwide, as well as affiliates in more than 30 cities. Edelman owns specialty firms such as: Edelman Berland (research), Blue (advertising), BioScience Communications (medical communications), and agencies Edelman Significa (Brazil), and Pegasus (China).
PR Noticias, the first Spanish online media portal specialized in Communication, Marketing and Journalism, celebrated last Thursday the tenth anniversary of “The Best of PR” awards.
With the aim of rewarding the Best of the Best in Communication and Journalism for the last decade (in Spain), the jury, chaired by the renowned communicator Enrique Alcat, did not cast an open vote for this edition.
Broadcasted on www.prnoticias.com and on Twitter via hashtag #premiosPR10, the awards ceremony started at 19:00 hrs (local time) at the well-known Refinery Building (Edificio de La Refinería) – Madrid.
The Best International Agency award is for Edelman Spain the recognition of the last 10 years of excellence in communication and public relations, in a market facing a changing landscape whether is economy, politics or business.
“Of course, winning an award is good for the business. The market acknowledges the good work we’ve done and this is great. We are honoured. On the other hand awards also exert pressure. They raise the bar… the quality bar, the innovation bar, the creativity bar… and this is fairly challenging. Yet, I would say that the best thing about winning an award is when we share it with the team. This is an every-one-of-us award and it’s nice to celebrate it together…. Celebrate we are one, celebrate we love working with each other and celebrate who we are and what we stand for. In this sense, this particular award and every award we have won strengthen our culture and our values, and these are the glue that keeps us together.
