A Bidders’ Conference at the Commission Office in Nairobi will be held on September 25th at 10:30 a.m. The address for the office is listed below. Any questions about the proposal must be submitted in writing via email, fax, mail, etc. not later than September 25th. Using the forms provided through the website, applicants need to prepare a financial proposal and a technical proposal. The requirements are very specific.

PR firm chosen is expected to keep private all information about the Government, Privatization Commission, and the company being privatized as a priority, ensuring all advice and recommendations are done with professionalism. For this reason, a confidentiality clause will be part of the signed contract once the negotiations have been completed. The contract period lasts two years, and the goal of the Commission is to stabilize the country financially allowing for more privately owned businesses and enterprises. The contract may be renewed after the first two years if acceptable to both parties.

Expected PR duties include dealing with press coverage for events, PR support for each transaction (especially during preparatory stages), and development of relations with international and local media outlets. They will also get news releases out, be a media liaison, and help with event management. On an as needed basis, they will provide all other full-service PR, advertising, digital, and crisis management help and support.
