Public Relations Agency Needed For The Albany, NY Capital Center
The Albany Capital Center in update New York is taking its place along the Albany Skyline – and is seeking a full-service Public Relations agency. Located in the heart of downtown Albany, the Albany Capital Center will be within walking distance of restaurants, hotels, shops, art galleries, night clubs, museums and more!
Operated by SMG, the Albany Capital Center will be a beautiful glass structure that offers space from 1,000 to 50,000 square feet, and that can accommodate 10 to 5,000 people. Housing 22,500 square feet of ballroom/exhibit space, 6 meeting rooms with 9,200 square feet of space, and 13,500 square feet of pre-function space, the Albany Capital Center will have a large presence in the New York state capital.
The Albany Capital Center will also be connected via an enclosed walkway to a newly renovated hotel, the Renaissance Albany. This historic property sits across the street from the New York State Capitol.
Scope of Work

- SMG, on behalf of the Albany Capital Center is seeking a full service public relations firm to develop a comprehensive public relations program. At times, firm will be asked to support the Capital Complex and some of their projects as well. A critical element of the campaign is to inform the media, including current customers, potential customers and local residents of important information about the Albany Capital Center.
- Respondents shall submit ideas for messaging and pr campaigns. Messaging should include the Capital Center, Capital Complex and the Capital Region as a destination.
- Vendor shall be responsible for arranging all local media and national trade media coverage, including but not limited to, interviews, appearances and stories. A minimum of one (1) press release per month shall be sent to local and regional media as well as trade publications.
- Vendor shall identify possibilities for speaking engagements, appearances, and public relations opportunities.
