overit logoOverit expands its creative staff with the hiring of content and social marketing thought leader Lisa Barone, along with the acquisition of Brayton Graphics, an award-winning boutique design and development firm.

Now vice president of strategy, Barone will lead Overit’s marketing consulting, social media and content divisions and serve on the agency’s senior staff. Media outlets including Forbes, Yahoo, Businessweek and Inc. have recognized Barone for her leadership and blogging in best practices and strategies for social media, marketing and content. Most recently, Barone served as the chief branding officer for the company she co-founded, Outspoken Media.

Enthusiastic for the new position, Barone shares:

“Integrated strategies that tie SEO, social, content and motion into a single, unified message put clients ahead of competitors, while respecting dollars. The success of Overit continues to be based in that achievement. I’m excited to join a team so rich in creative excellence and the belief that boundaries are meant to be broken, and I look forward to building on that record.”

The Brayton Graphics acquisition adds more esteemed talent to Overitt’s design and development team. Elizabeth Delos founded Brayton Graphics in 2006 and now works for Capital Region brands like the Center for Economic Growth, Northeast Parent & Child Society and Mazzone Hospitality and won The Business Review’s 40 under 40 Award in 2010. As a member of Overit’s senior staff, Delos is a director of client services, and her team will add its expertise to their correlating Overit departments.

According to Overitt staff,

“This agreement significantly strengthens both organizations’ abilities to represent Fortune 1000 brands and emerging companies at the local, state and national levels. With the completion of its acquisition of Portfolio PR Group in January, Overit now has the region’s most skilled divisions for marketing, public relations, advertising and social media services.”

Dan Dinsmore, CEO and president of Overit shares his hope for the company’s future,

“[Lisa’s] leadership will be instrumental in furthering our client’s success. Likewise, Liz and her team share the same quality of design and development in their portfolio as we do. We are gaining an incredible team of proven talent, not to mention Liz’s leadership and client strategy.”
