Martin Public Relations Becomes Atlas Marketing: Did Anyone Check Google?

Marting Public Relations PR Firm

ATLAS MARKETING

The Pittsburgh Business Times reported today that Martin Public Relations is changing its name to Atlas Marketing.  The firm is a Pennsylvania based boutique agency, whose clients include Auntie Anne’s Pretzel, Habitat for Humanity, Jennison Manufacturing Group and the Pittsburgh Technology Council.

The agency’s CEO, Chris Martin noted that, “We were doing more than public relations — more campaign work, more digital work. We got to the point where PR is still part of our business but not nearly as much as it had been in the past. I’m not sure how much business we’ve lost from having public relations in the name.”

Clearly, something the firm is not versed in is SEO/Search Engine Optimization.

Did anyone bother to Google “Atlas Marketing” before changing their name?  There’s an “Atlas Advertising” who buys key-words for Atlas Advertising.  There’s a Atlas Marketing Solutions, Atlas Marketing Management LLC, and Atlas Products – all ranking high for Atlas Marketing.

Let’s hope that business for this Pittsburgh PR firm comes via word of mouth.

Richard – we did an extensive review (with legal counsel) prior to the name change and in our search those firms you mention do not work within our market segments, nor are they on the East Coast. All of these companies are west of the Rockies, which, in fact gives us solid ground for the name East of the Mississippi.

Admittedly, our industry is wide reaching and the impact of SEO functions make us all global competitors. However, for those who want to work with Atlas Marketing East of the Mississippi we are ready and able to tell their stories.

Thank you for the coverage. Hope you have a good day.

    Chris
