Oglivy is already a global company and has the experience necessary to take Savvis’ PR to the next level around the world. The PR firm’s international offices in Tokyo, London, Washington DC, San Francisco, Singapore and Denver will be working with their client to build media relations and increase public awareness of the company’s hosting and IT infrastructure services, as well as cloud computing, something Savvis is becoming quite well known for.
“As Savvis continues to grow and expand globally, we felt Savvis’ public relations efforts would be best served through a single global agency,” said Carter Cromley, Savvis’ director of public relations. “Having a single agency allows for consistency of Savvis’ key messages, content sharing among the teams and efficient teamwork driving our brand recognition into the marketplace. Furthermore, Ogilvy PR has demonstrated its flexibility and ability to coordinate seamlessly with Savvis’ international teams.”
Savvis originally began as a small niche company with a focus on financial networking services, but over the years, the company has grown to offer hosting, as well as a number of other services valuable to businesses. With Oglivy’s help on many fronts, the tech company hopes to increase sales of their services and is confident that their long-term relationship with the PR firm will do well in this new capacity.
“Our relationship with Savvis is emblematic of our ideal type of client situation,” said Amy Messenger, managing director of Ogilvy PR’s U.S. Technology Practice. “The fact that they are playing a critical and visible role in the emergence of managed services and cloud computing is an added bonus for our global team.”
