Just when you thought the US government’s credibility couldn’t sink any lower, news of a federal air marshall being arrested for shooting up-skirt photos becomes the trend. According to the Federal Air Marshal Service, Adam Bartsch has been charged with alleged disorderly conduct after having confessed to “upskirting” women boarding planes in Nashville.
This story came to light when a witness snatched Bartsch’s cell phone during boarding of a Southwest Airlines flight from Nashville to Tampa. The witness then showed the marshal’s phone to a flight attendant, who was compelled to report the incident to police. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has relieved Bartsch of his duties until the matter can be concluded.
For those unfamiliar, air marshals are deployed to “detect, deter, and defeat hostile acts targeting U.S. air carriers, airports, passengers, and crews,” at least according to the Federal Air Marshal Service, that is. These agents of the TSA operate under cover (or under skirt in this case) in order to blend in with passengers and protect us all in the skies.
