The reality star who likes to throw off her clothes for those 15 minutes of fame is jamming. Kim Karashian’s new song, “Jam (Turn it Up),” has been released on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show Wednesday morning. The song will be available on iTunes, and you can already listen to it on the star’s personal blog, here, or simply click on the featured podcast at the end of this article.
“I can’t believe it’s finally released!” – Kim Kardashan wrote on her site, expressing her joy. “This was definitely something that was out of my comfort zone, but I’m so glad that I met with The Dream and that we worked on this project together. It was really an amazing experience recording in the studio and filming the music video and I can’t wait for you all to see the video.”
The lines of the song are as intelligent as you’d expect: Feeling so good/ feeling so right /got my hands up. Celebrate like it’s my birthday / five more shots of tequila, I’m thirsty… But after all, it’s not about the lines, you’d say, it’s about the beat. And while the song sounds fun, considering the purpose of Ryan Seacrest’s radio show today to earn money for the St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, I find the lyrics a bit inappropriate. Public reactions to the song were mixed: while the star’s fans are encouraging her to continue, a larger majority opine that she should stick to reality shows and nude pictorials.
As MTV describes it, the song is a loopy, Auto-Tuned, club-banging party jam about, well, club life. It was produced by The-Dream.
