After a stellar 2014 where the firm won many awards, and saw quite considerable growth, 5WPR recently broke into the top 20 largest independent American public relations agency rankings in O’Dwyer’s, a leading industry publication for PR in the United States which ranks PR firms by size according to revenues.
Business Insider reviewed and described 5WPR as “one of the United States’ busiest, most effective PR shops” – and it should shock no one if this firm continues to succeed and radically improve their clients businesses along the way.
5WPR continues growing and expanding, having been named the PR Agency of the Year for three years running by the Stevies, the American Business Awards. They were finalists for three awards from PR News including PR Agency Elite, Integrated Communications, and Media Relations and Marketing Communications in PR News’ Platinum PR.
5W employs approximately 125 PR professionals people at their headquarters in New York City, and a new office opened earlier this year in Denver. Ronn Torossian founded 5WPR in 2003. It was just him and an intern in those days. He’s built the agency to its current level with an aggressive, smart approach. Today, the firm remains a fast-growing, dynamic agency – one of the top firms in the country.
What does 5W PR do for clients many others don’t? Well, Mr. Torossian says they focus on getting client’s names and products into the media – of course they get creative and innovative and they never forget the reason they do it is to get the spotlight focused on the great things about their clients. So people know about the clients, so people know about the products and start talking about them. Without the media spotlight and full service PR & marketing results, all the creativity in the world is just a bit of fizzle. Many firms spend a huge amount of time creating a strategy and they aren’t able to actually execute. With 5WPR we have found that they succeed at both strategy and execution.
5WPR is also a rarity in its very diverse client list – from app companies to Fortune 500 companies, housewares, crisis, consumer packaged goods, hedge funds and more.
Companies come to a PR firm sometimes because they don’t want to have to do the work of connecting with the media. 5W does that, and they start right off the bat. And the media pays attention because 5W has built their reputation by bringing their A-game when dealing with journalists, bloggers, and other media outlets.
They get innovative and creative in the process, but clients won’t be waiting forever before what you start seeing their product or company name sprinkled through all the best media for their industry. And the clients love it. Annual revenue for 2014 was $19.2 million, bringing 5W squarely into the #20 position of Independent PR agencies in the U.S.
The economy may still be slow in some places, but for 5W, that was nearly a 19% increase in growth from the previous year.
Ronn Torossian, 5W PR Founder, and CEO welcomed the good news, saying, “We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved in 2014. We are so proud to be named one of the 20 largest independent PR firms in the U.S.”
“We’re breaking new ground for our clients every day and delivering the results that drive their businesses in this ever-changing PR landscape,” Torossian added. “With the robust growth that the entire PR industry saw in 2014, this is a major achievement for 5W, and we’re honored to be named among the industry’s leaders.”
5W Public Relations serves clients in industries including corporate communications, health & wellness, technology, beauty & fashion, consumer brands, travel & hospitality, food & beverage, nonprofit, reputation management, public affairs, entertainment, crisis communications, and digital strategy. 5WPR provides local, national, and international businesses a bold results-oriented approach to successful communications, media coverage, and event planning. Their clever campaigns, dedicated team employees, and unquestioned client results earn the agency multiple awards from industry organizations every year.
5WPR is a firm we predict will continue to succeed, and emerge as one of the 10 largest independent PR firms in the next 24-36 months. We bet on this firm in a major way.
