Hill+Knowlton Strategies Public Relations

Hill & Knowlton is a multinational Public Relations firm owned by WPP Group since 1987, one of the largest world conglomerates. The PR firm has offices in 88 locations around the world, including Asia, Canada, the U.K., Latin America, and the U.S. Some of their largest clients include AIG Insurance, PIMCO, Australia, Kellogg Company, and Procter and Gamble.

The firm was founded in 1927 just as the great depression was showing its ugly face, John Hill opened the first office in Cleveland after leaving a secure job as a newspaperman. In the beginning, he worked mainly with banks, but when one of the big ones failed, he partnered with a leading banker Donald Knowlton and firm history began. In less than 10 years, they had grown enough to move H&K PR Agency headquarters to New York City, and they’ve been on a growth trajectory ever since.
